CODE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTOR

Minimum: $16.21Hr.

H.S. /GED. Valid FL Driver’s License. 5 yrs. of provable experience in the trades or as a building inspector. Must possess, or obtain within 12 months, certification as a Code Inspector by the FACE, and Certification as a Housing Rehab Inspector by the SBCCI. Thorough knowledge of municipal codes and ordinances pertaining to zoning, housing, and the environment. Ability to compile facts in a logical progression. Ability to enforce applicable codes with tact. Ability to read, understand and explain maps, aerials, plats and technical drawings. Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.
     
ENGINEERING TECH II 
 




Staring
Minimum: $12.86Hr.
 
ENGINEERING  H.S. /GED. Valid Fl Driver’s License. 2 or more years experience in relevant utility location and engineering work. Provides project assistance in developing topographic data, design plans and permit packages necessary to take a project from start to finish. Performs surveying assistance. Performs utility locates for the City. Experience with plans and specifications. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Works outside in various weather conditions.
     
GROUNDSKEEPER I 



Staring
Minimum: $10.22 Hr.
  
PARKS  Valid FL Driver's License.  Semi-skilled and manual work in maintaining various grounds, fields, and parks by performing mowing, weeding, etc. Some experience in landscaping and irrigation helpful. Works in various weather conditions at heights to 15 ft. Works with insecticides/herbicides.
     
GROUNDSKEEPER II
(LANDSCAPE CREW)



Starting
Minimum: $11.02 Hr.
 PARKS H.S. /GED. Class B FL CDL. 2 yrs. experience in landscaping and irrigation. Functions as lead worker, skilled in operation and preventative maintenance of equipment and related tools. Skilled and manual lead work in maintaining various grounds, fields and facilities. Works outside in various weather conditions and at heights up to 15 ft. Works with insecticides/herbicides.
     
MAINTENANCE MECHANIC I 
 


Starting
Minimum: $11.91 Hr.
  
 UTILITIES MAINTENANCE H.S. /GED. Valid FL Driver’s License. 1 yr. experience or training related to mechanical and electrical projects. Assist crew leader with the maintenance and repair of lift station and/or wells. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical tools. Works in various weather conditions and at heights over 150 feet. Must obtain a Class B CDL within 6 months.
     
MAINTENANCE MECHANIC II

Minimum: $12.86Hr.
 UTILITIES MAINTENANCE H.S. /GED. Class B FL CDL. 3 yrs. experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and the control systems. Assist crew leader in the maintenance and repair of lift stations, wells, reuse, and the waste water treatment plant projects. Ability and knowledge to work safely around high voltage with supervision up to 480v. Ability to read blue prints and ladder logic diagrams. Must qualify for after hour call duty.
     

MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST I

Minimum: $10.22 Hr.

UTILITIES MAINTENANCE  H.S. /GED. Class B FL CDL.  General mechanical ability for the installation and repairs associated with water collection and distribution systems.  Able to operate maintenance tools and other equipment.  Ability to lift 50 lbs.  Works in various weather conditions.   Will be required to obtain a Class B CDL with tanker and air brake endorsement and qualify for on-call duty.
   
STORMWATER OPERATOR II

Starting
Minimum: $11.91 Hr.

 STORMWATER

H.S./GED. Class B Florida CDL, Class C Stormwater License2yrs. experience in medium/heavy equipment operation. Responsible work in maintaining and repairing stormwater drainage system, streets, and rights-of-way.  Ability to prepare and maintain records, as well as lead the work crew.  Will be required to qualify for on-call duty.

     

POLICE OFFICER

POLICE 

H.S./GED. Valid Florida Driver License. FL Certified or presently enrolled in and will complete standard police academy within 30 days. Minimum 19 years of age, U.S. citizen, and good moral character as set forth by the State Commission.
     
REFUSE COLLECTOR 
 
             
Starting
Minimum: $10.22 Hr.
 
 SANITATION Valid State Identification. Heavy manual labour work in the collection and disposal of refuse. Physical strength, stamina and ability to perform lifting, loading, bending, and other manual work. Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Works in various weather conditions.
     
TELECOMMUNICATOR I

           

Starting
Minimum: $11.91 Hr.
 POLICE H.S. /GED. 1 yr. experience in general clerical work or telephone operation required. Able to make independent judgments concerning life threatening situations; excellent oral communications a must; ability to receive calls/complaints concerning emergency service and record them. Weekend, holiday and rotating shift work required. Ability to type 30 wpm required.
